Overview
This handheld cholesterol meter gives a total cholesterol result at the point of care from a single drop of capillary blood applied to a test strip, returning a value within a couple of minutes without sending the sample to a laboratory. It suits screening clinics, pharmacies, occupational health checks, outreach programmes, and general practice where a same-visit result changes the conversation with the patient.
The unit stores previous readings for follow-up, runs from batteries for use away from mains power, and is supplied with its matched strips and lancets.
Medix East Africa supplies the cholesterol meter with pre-installation site assessment, delivery, installation and commissioning by our own biomedical engineers, and acceptance testing before handover. Operator training is delivered to the staff who will use it day to day, and technical training is available for your biomedical department.
