The Chorus Trio is built for immunoassay specialties — the tests a laboratory needs occasionally but cannot justify a dedicated platform for. More than 150 specialty tests are consolidated on the single system, and up to 30 different tests can run together in one batch.
The working procedure is deliberately short: read the barcode on the device, read the barcode on the sample tube, dispense the serum. Minimal manual operation is required beyond that.
The monotest format is what makes the economics work. Each test is packaged individually with its calibrator and control included in the kit, and calibration uses a single point against a memorised master curve. There is no reagent wasted on a calibration run for a test ordered twice a month, and no hidden cost in opening a large kit for one patient.
Medix East Africa supplies the chorus trio immunoassay system with pre-installation site assessment, delivery, installation and commissioning by our own biomedical engineers, and acceptance testing before handover. Operator training is delivered to the staff who will use it day to day, and technical training is available for your biomedical department.
After handover we hold genuine spare parts for the equipment we supply, run preventive maintenance under annual contract, and respond to faults across Kenya and the wider East African region.
