1160Overview
The 1160 is a compact quantitative immunofluorescence analyzer for point-of-care testing, with four incubation channels and a fifth channel reserved for emergency tests. That fifth channel is the practical point: an urgent cardiac troponin does not have to wait behind four routine samples already incubating.
A constant 32 degree C incubation environment holds reaction conditions steady, and results correlate well with the CLIA method. Used test cards are collected automatically once testing finishes, so the operator is not handling used cartridges between patients.
At 276 x 299 x 152mm and 4kg it is genuinely portable, suiting emergency departments, clinics and outreach work as well as a laboratory bench. Reagents are supplied on IC cards carrying the lot calibration.
