Overview
These 90mm sterile plastic Petri dishes are the standard vessel for pouring agar plates and culturing bacteria and fungi in a clinical or teaching microbiology laboratory. Moulded in optically clear polystyrene, they let the technologist read colony morphology and haemolysis without lifting the lid, and vented ridges on the lid allow gas exchange while limiting condensation.
Supplied pre-sterilised in sealed sleeves and ready to pour, they remove the need for washing and autoclaving glassware between runs and are consumed continuously by any laboratory doing culture work.
