2 Crank Bed

A two-crank hospital bed gives independent manual control of the backrest and the knee section, so a patient can be sat up while the legs are raised, which holds them from sliding down the bed and takes pressure off the sacrum. Two hand cranks at the foot of the bed drive the movements, requiring no electrical supply and keeping servicing simple.

Drop-down side rails, a coated steel frame, removable head and foot boards, and four braked castors complete the specification. It is a standard general ward, maternity, and post-operative bed where full electric adjustment is not needed.

Medix East Africa supplies the 2 crank bed with pre-installation site assessment, delivery, installation and commissioning by our own biomedical engineers, and acceptance testing before handover. Operator training is delivered to the staff who will use it day to day, and technical training is available for your biomedical department.

After handover we hold genuine spare parts for the equipment we supply, run preventive maintenance under annual contract, and respond to faults across Kenya and the wider East African region.
