Overview
Gauze bandage is a lightweight, open-weave cotton roll used to wrap a wound, hold a primary dressing in place, and provide light padding under a firmer bandage. The open weave lets air reach the wound and allows exudate to pass through into an outer absorbent layer, and the roll tears cleanly to length without scissors when needed at speed.
Supplied in standard widths and lengths, sterile or non-sterile depending on the application, it is a basic, high-turnover dressing consumable across wards, theatres, and outpatient dressing rooms.
