The Touch 5 Plasma Plus is the bipolar-in-saline variant of the Touch 5 electrosurgical generator, bringing ALAN's plasma bipolar energy into the Touch 5 platform. It runs conventional monopolar and bipolar output alongside a Bi-TUR channel for resection in saline irrigation, which suits a theatre that does both general surgery and transurethral work on the same generator.
Control is through a 5-inch LCD touchscreen. Patient Plate Contact Monitoring watches the return electrode throughout, and continuous tissue impedance monitoring adjusts high-frequency current and voltage dynamically as tissue changes under the instrument. Illuminated connector sockets make it easier to find the right port when theatre lights are dimmed for laparoscopic work.
