Plasma PlusOverview
The Plasma Bissector is an electrosurgical generator built around bipolar plasma in saline, the technique used for transurethral resection where saline irrigation replaces glycine. Because current returns through a second electrode on the instrument rather than crossing the body to a plate, the risk of TUR syndrome and of obturator nerve stimulation falls considerably.
Maximum output is 400 watts. The mode set is unusually wide: seven monopolar cutting modes (Pure, Low, Blend, EndoCut, i-Cut, v-Cut, SkinCut), seven monopolar coagulation modes (Lo-Spray, Hi-Spray, Fulgurate, Lo-Desi, Hi-Desi, Soft, Auto-Desi), nine bipolar modes, six bipolar-in-saline cutting modes and two bipolar-in-saline coagulation modes, with seven levels of vessel sealing power.
It supports TUVP, TUEB, TCRP and TCRE procedures, operates by handswitch or footswitch, and carries two monopolar sockets, one bipolar socket and one ligate/Bi-TUR socket.
