Overview
Ultrasound gel is the acoustic coupling medium applied between the transducer and the patient’s skin, displacing the air that would otherwise reflect the ultrasound beam and prevent any usable image forming. This water-based formulation is non-staining, non-irritating, and hypoallergenic, spreads easily, and holds its viscosity without running off the scanning site during a long examination.
The 5-litre container suits departments that decant into smaller dispenser bottles and is the economical format for busy obstetric, general, and cardiac scanning services.
