Overview
The Comen S5 combines a biphasic defibrillator with a patient monitor in one portable unit for pre-hospital and in-hospital resuscitation. Advanced Biphasic Truncated Exponential technology delivers a shock at lower energy to reduce myocardial damage, with 25 selectable energy levels up to 360J and an impedance range of 20 to 300 ohms covering patients with a high defibrillation threshold.
It charges to 200J and shocks in about three seconds, and offers defibrillation, external pacing, monitoring, and AED modes. A 7-inch colour LCD displays 5-lead ECG as standard, with optional SpO2, NIBP, PR, and EtCO2 for continuous monitoring.
Medix East Africa supplies the comen defibrillator monitor with pre-installation site assessment, delivery, installation and commissioning by our own biomedical engineers, and acceptance testing before handover. Operator training is delivered to the staff who will use it day to day, and technical training is available for your biomedical department.
After handover we hold genuine spare parts for the equipment we supply, run preventive maintenance under annual contract, and respond to faults across Kenya and the wider East African region.
