BRF-40V318Overview
The BRF-40V318 puts two cold stores in one body: a 208-litre refrigerator on top holding 2 to 8 degrees C for reagents, media and vaccines, and a 110-litre freezer below running from -10 down to -40 degrees C for plasma, viral samples and biological tissue. Each half has its own door, so opening the refrigerator costs nothing from the freezer, and each has its own compressor — if one fails, the other keeps running.
Microprocessor control holds 0.1 degree C accuracy with an LED display, and a start-delay function protects the compressors from the current surge when mains power returns. The alarm set covers power failure, door ajar, high and low temperature, thermostat failure and sensor failure.
The interior is 304 stainless steel for corrosion resistance and easy disinfection, the exterior is sprayed steel with an anti-bacterial coating, and unibody mono-assembly foaming in CFC-free high-density polyurethane limits heat leak. The cabinet runs on castors with brakes.
