Weld On-BOverview
The Weld On-B is the bench-top sealer that closes the tubing of a blood bag after collection and between separation steps, keeping the bag system sterile without introducing a needle. It uses radio-frequency sealing rather than heat, so the PVC tube welds shut without cooking the blood inside, and each seal leaves a clean break line so segments tear apart easily for cross-match, serology and NAT testing.
Auto-sense starts the seal as soon as tubing is inserted, with no button to press. Sealing takes about 1.5 seconds and adjusts automatically, giving up to 1000 seals an hour on PVC tube of 5 to 6mm outside diameter.
Anti-spark and overheat protection guard the unit and the tubing, a splash guard protects the technician if the tube contains blood, and the sealing head cap lifts off for cleaning and disinfection. Indicators show ready, sealing in progress and power. At 220 x 200 x 120mm and 4kg it takes very little bench space.
